While it won’t last as long as our braids, it will still hold its freshness WAY LONGER THAN STORE BOUGHT! These small bulbs pack an amazing amount of flavor, which means they go a lot further than most garlics when cooking. In addition to the amazing flavor they add to any dish, our favorite way to eat them is roasted, using coconut oil instead of olive oil (but both still taste amazing). Cut the top portion of the head you are using, put about a 1/8 teaspoon of coconut oil on, wrap in tin foil, and bake at 350 for about 35 minutes. Let cool, then enjoy as an amazing spread (almost like butter). The best way to store the garlic is to make sure it is kept out of direct sunlight, and DO NOT REFRIGERATE. One of the biggest differences between fresh garlic (this one) and 99% of all store bought garlic is refrigeration. This has never been refrigerated, meaning that it is still incredibly fresh.
A warning: once you taste this garlic, you will be saddened when you run out and have to go back to store bought garlic that is at least 6 to 12 months old (or older), and has been stored under refrigeration, taking away all of its live goodness!!***note that if you only want to use as a decoration, it will last for many many years hanging beautifully and will not spoil or discolor***
